- 08The most popular and convenient way to pay is directly out of your tax refund. This means you don’t have to pay anything upfront — no out-of-pocket expenses during tax season! Our fees are simply deducted from your refund by the IRS and sent to us on your behalf. It’s: • Easy — no upfront costs or checks to write • Simple — the IRS handles the payment transfer securely • Peace of Mind — you only pay when you receive your refund If you don’t have a refund to pay from (for example, if you owe taxes, break even, or have prior offsets that reduce or eliminate your refund), we offer an alternative: • You can pay upfront via an invoice we send after your consultation. • Payment must be completed before we electronically file your taxes. This ensures your tax filing process continues smoothly, no matter your situation.
- 09We offer three convenient options for receiving your tax refund: 1. Direct Deposit (Fastest & Most Convenient) The quickest and most popular way to receive your refund is through direct deposit. Simply provide your bank routing and account number, and once your tax return is accepted by the IRS, your refund typically arrives within 3 weeks. This method is secure, fast, and avoids any mailing delays. 2. Check by Mail If you prefer, we can mail a paper check to the address you provide in your Client Portal. Please note: • Refunds by check may take up to 6 weeks after IRS acceptance • There is a $25 fee to cover priority mailing for security and tracking This helps ensure your check arrives safely and in a timely manner. 3. Prepaid Refund Card We may also offer the option to have your refund loaded onto a prepaid debit card, issued by the bank we use to process returns. With this option, you can: • Use the card like a regular debit card • Make purchases, pay bills, or withdraw funds at ATMs • Receive your refund within a similar timeframe to direct deposit (around 3 weeks) Important: This option is not always available. Please check with us during your consultation to see if prepaid cardsare being offered this season.
- 10An offset occurs when your tax refund is reduced or withheld to pay off certain debts you owe to federal or state agencies. There are two main types of offsets that can affect your refund: 1. IRS Debt Offset This happens when you owe the IRS directly — such as: • Unpaid income taxes • Penalties and interest from prior years If you have an IRS debt, the IRS can reduce your refund to cover what you owe. This is handled directly by the IRS, not through the Treasury Offset Program. To check if you owe the IRS: • Call the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040 • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (your local time) • Be prepared to verify your identity (SSN, filing status, etc.) 2. Treasury Offset Program (TOP) This is separate from IRS debt and is managed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service. Your refund may be offset through TOP if you owe other federal or state debts, such as: • Past-due student loans • Child support • Unemployment overpayments • State income tax debt • Other non-tax federal debts To check for a Treasury Offset: • Call the TOP automated line at 1-800-304-3107 (available 24/7) • You’ll need your SSN to access the info This line will tell you if any of your refund is being held or redirected to another agency, and which agency to contact. 3. State Offsets If you owe your state (for state taxes, unemployment overpayments, etc.), your refund can also be offset. Each state has its own collection office. To check: • Contact your state’s Department of Revenue or Comptroller’s Office • Or search online for: “[Your State] tax offset phone number” Before Your Consultation To ensure you're fully prepared and avoid surprises, we strongly recommend you: 1. Call IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to check for direct IRS debts 2. Call TOP at 1-800-304-3107 to check for Treasury offsets 3. Contact your state’s Department of Revenue for possible state offsets
- 11Yes — all clients are required to sign a payment agreement before we proceed with filing. This isn’t a long-term contract or commitment to services you don’t need. Instead, it’s a standard agreement that outlines the scope of our work and protects the time, effort, and expertise our team invests in preparing your return. Why This Agreement Matters: • It ensures clarity and transparency about your responsibilities and our services • It confirms that, in the event your refund is reduced due to an offset, or if you owe the IRS, you are still responsible for the tax preparation fee you agreed to • It protects the value of our work, especially in cases where filing requires extensive time, support, and communication Signing the agreement is a simple part of the onboarding process and ensures everyone is on the same page. We believe in fair, professional service — and part of that is setting clear expectations from the start. If you have questions about the agreement before signing, we’re always happy to walk you through it.
- 12Absolutely not. At Overtime Financial Solutions (OFS), we do not submit tax returns without your explicit consent and signed authorization. We do not force file. We do not forge signatures. We do not move forward without your full approval. Your trust matters to us — and so does your security. At OFS, integrity and transparency are at the core of everything we do. We believe in: Clear communication Respect for your choices Doing things the right way — every time If you're not ready to file, have questions, or need more time to review your return, we will not proceeduntil you give us the green light. It's your return, your refund, and your decision. We’re here to support and guide you — never to pressure
- 13At Overtime Financial Solutions (OFS), we believe in fair and customized pricing — not one-size-fits-all. Each client’s tax situation is unique. Some returns are straightforward, while others are more complex. Some clients need additional support like bookkeeping, while others come fully organized. Because of these differences, our fees are tailored to your individual tax needs. Here’s What to Expect: • We do not charge below $400 for tax preparation • After your consultation, you will receive a personalized quote that includes: • Your estimated refund or balance due • Your exact tax preparation fee There are no hidden fees — just transparent, upfront pricing based on the actual work required to handle your return properly and legally.
- 14Yes! Once your tax documents are signed by all required parties, a copy of your completed return is automatically emailed to the address you provided. You’ll have access to it for your records, peace of mind, or future reference. Need Another Copy Later? No problem — if you can’t find your original copy or need it sent again: 1. Log into your Client Portal 2. Use the “Contact Us” feature to request a copy 3. We’ll send it right over! We’re always happy to assist — even after filing.
